This is my second time using this company and both experiences were excellent. My service was added to the schedule in a timely manner on short notice. I was kept informed of arrival time. Any questions were answered adequately in a courteous manner. I am also pleased by the quality of materials used and billing was reasonable.

Almost impossible to get a hold of the owner who only works by appointment

Called to make an appointment expecting to schedule it for a couple of days out. Jerry was able to come out in a couple of hours. To be clear, this was not a lock-out situation. I had lost my only key with the fob and was hoping to find it. The vehicle was not needed for a while. Jerry arrived at the stated time and got right to work. I don't know when a key had last been used in the driver's door, but it was froze up. Jerry was very persistent and used some tricks of the trade to get a key made that I desperately needed. He does great work for a fair price.He is very knowledgeable in all facets of his job. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a locksmith. And, do yourself a favor. Don't try and save a buck or two and order cheap keys off Amazon and expect him or anyone to "cut" you a quality key out of cheap material.

Jerry is fantastic! Smart, no-nonsense, knows his stuff! After Ace Hardware completely killed my keys and car, I went here on high referral desperately seeking last minute help as the car needed to be shipped the next morning and I had no spare key!! Not only did Jerry come back to his store after hours to help me, but he stayed there for 2.5 hours to get a challenging job done and get it done RIGHT! He was a wealth of information and knew what he was doing. I'm very grateful I got referred to him and that I was able to find him in his new location right next to the Bruster's Ice Cream shop on Lorain Road in North Olmsted. Park behind the karate studio! Please avoid getting ANY keys made at Ace, or any of the hardware stores and RUN to this guy! The employees at the chain stores are not properly trained and/or experienced. You will not regret going to Chap Lock and working with Jerry! Highly recommend.
